Student Expectations

“At Orleans Park School Sixth Form we have high expectations of our students and expect them to behave as role models for the school community. As such students in the Sixth Form are given greater autonomy and independence than in the lower school. Therefore, a mature approach to their studies and conduct is expected of all Sixth Form students.”

Sixth Form Agreement 2025-26

Dress Code

All Sixth Form students are required to wear their lanyard and ID card at all times while on the school site. Since Sixth Form students do not wear a uniform, wearing your ID helps everyone easily identify you, which is very important for your safety and the security of the school community. Please make sure to have your lanyard visible every day. Students who repeatedly forget may receive a sanction.

It is a privilege to have a reasonable amount of personal choice in the Sixth Form, but students also have a responsibility to dress in a manner that is appropriate for a school or workplace setting. The Sixth Form team and SLT reserve the right to ask students who we deem to be wearing improper attire to go home and change, and refrain from wearing those items to school again. Families will always be contacted should a student be sent home to change their attire.  Improper attire includes the following:

  • Tracksuit/jogging bottoms
  • Ripped jeans
  • Strapless or cropped tops
  • Sport shorts

Mobile Phones

Orleans Park School operates a mobile phone-free policy between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. However, Sixth Form students are permitted to bring their mobile phones to school and may only use them within the designated Sixth Form area.

Students are expected to respect this policy, as it helps to keep all members of our school community safe. As per the school’s mobile phone policy below, if a Sixth Form student is found using their phone outside of this area, their phone will be confiscated and kept until 4:00pm.
