Learning through experiences outside the classroom is a key element of a students' education.
School trips are powerful, positive teaching tools that help enhance the social, personal and emotional development of both student and teachers. We are fortunate to have such supportive staff, volunteering their time to organise school trips and visits during and after school, as well as within the holidays. We believe that there is always something new to see or somewhere new to go.
Each year we aim to offer a broad range of trips, ranging from visits to local places of interest, sports tours, workshops, field trips both in the UK and abroad, theatre visits, and much more. Some of our trips are designed to directly support the school curriculum, such as conferences and workshops in subjects such as geography, maths or science, whilst others aim to develop character traits such as independence, resilience and teamwork, whilst always broadening pupil perspectives.
All students have access to a number of both residential and day trips during their time at Orleans Park.
We aim to foster students’ lifelong social skills and instil in them an understanding of cultural diversity, as well as enabling them to fulfil personal challenges. Whether they be on a day trip to Kew Gardens, an overnight trip to the woods, or a geography field trip to Iceland.
