Our intent is that Orleans Park will be a model of outstanding student leadership, preparing our students for both academic success and a lifetime of meaningful contributions, thoughtful decision-making, and transformative leadership.
At the heart of our school, we envision a dynamic and inclusive student leadership program that empowers each student to discover, develop, and deploy their unique leadership potential, enabling them to Be The Best You Can Be. Our vision is to foster an environment where student leaders are not only catalysts for positive change within our school community but also ambassadors of our school values of Responsibility, Resilience and Respect.
Alex, Year 13
As one of this year’s Head Students, I am committed to helping make Orleans Park a place where every student feels connected and valued. I want to strengthen the links between year groups, encouraging a school culture where students learn from and support one another.
For me, being a Head Student is not just about representing my peers but also about celebrating their achievements and helping to create opportunities that make school life exciting and memorable.
I am looking forward to working with the Student Leadership team to build on the fantastic atmosphere we already have and ensure that every student’s time at Orleans Park is as rewarding as possible.
Hannah, Year 13
As one of this year's Head Students, I aspire to provide a space for students to feel heard and to encourage those in the school community to vocalise their suggestions. By acting as an advocate for student interest, I strive to be a visible presence for students, in all years alike, to feel comfortable they can talk to with any concerns both academically or regarding the operations within the school.
With the extensive extracurricular activities and events, we have on offer, I hope to utilise this position to deliver the best results on student wellbeing and involvement. I look forward to having the opportunity to work alongside the rest of the Student Leadership Team as well as the staff to communicate the ways in which we can help sustain the supportive and inclusive environment here at Orleans Park.
Sixth Form students play a vital role in shaping the ethos of our school, serving as role models for pupils in the lower years through their actions, attitudes, and commitment to our shared values. They set the standard for younger students by demonstrating maturity, responsibility, and a strong sense of community spirit.
At the heart of this are the members of our Senior Student Leadership Team, a dedicated group of Sixth Formers who take on additional responsibilities within the school. This team works to inspire and engage the wider student body, encouraging everyone to contribute positively to our community. By leading initiatives, supporting their peers, and promoting collaboration across year groups, they act as catalysts for positive change, ensuring that every student feels empowered to play a part in building a supportive and forward-looking school environment.
Comprising of three students per year group and run by the Senior Student Leaders, the Student Committee for Change meets half-termly to lead on specific school projects which benefit our community.
There are numerous additional leadership opportunities for all students in Years 7 to 13 across the school, including working with the Jack Petchey Foundation and the Richmond Youth Parliament. We have two designated teachers responsible for student leadership who work with our Heads of House, Heads of Year and other senior staff to promote these opportunities across the Orleans Park community.
