Our intent is that Orleans Park will be a model of outstanding student leadership, preparing our students for both academic success and a lifetime of meaningful contributions, thoughtful decision-making, and transformative leadership.

At the heart of our school, we envision a dynamic and inclusive student leadership program that empowers each student to discover, develop, and deploy their unique leadership potential, enabling them to Be The Best You Can Be. Our vision is to foster an environment where student leaders are not only catalysts for positive change within our school community but also ambassadors of our school values of Responsibility, Resilience and Respect.

Head Students

Matilda, Year 13

I believe Head Student is so much more than a title; it’s about making a change and being an inspirational and approachable role model to all students.

With this in mind, I aspire to promote the importance of student wellbeing and ensure that student voices are heard throughout the school, even those of students who are less likely to speak out. I will strive to offer memorable opportunities that students will look forward to and to be a visible presence at Orleans Park School.

I look forward to working with the rest of the Student Leadership Team to build on the amazing community that we already have here. I hope to give students the chance to grow, not just academically but as individuals, helping them to become responsible, respectful and resilient, and to be the best they can be.

Ellery, Year 13

As one of the Head Students at Orleans Park, my main aim is to make all students feel included within the school community, ensuring that I am approachable and that my peers feel comfortable talking to me about any issues they are facing, both inside and outside of school.

Alongside this, I also intend to help students communicate with each other, striving to create a more connected environment between year groups where students are able to thrive together.

I will endeavour to get as many students as possible involved in the activities and events hosted by the school over the course of the year, from the wide range of extra-curricular and after-school clubs to house tournaments and competitions.

I am looking forward to working closely with the rest of the Student Leadership Team and staff to make Orleans Park the best it can be.

Student Leader Events

Last year, our Student Leadership Team hosted their inaugural Student Leader Conference in November. A day dedicated to collaboration, creativity, and connection. Student leaders from across the borough came together to share ideas, experiences, and ambitions for improving school life.

The conference featured an inspiring keynote address from Simon Stevens, former Head of the NHS, Chair of King’s College London and Cancer Research UK, and a member of the UK Parliament House of Lords, along with engaging workshops delivered by Push Talks.

By the end of the day, students left feeling motivated, connected, and empowered to drive positive change within their own school communities. 

Senior Student Leaders

Sixth Form students play a vital role in shaping the ethos of our school, serving as role models for pupils in the lower years through their actions, attitudes, and commitment to our shared values. They set the standard for younger students by demonstrating maturity, responsibility, and a strong sense of community spirit.

At the heart of this are the members of our Senior Student Leadership Team, a dedicated group of Sixth Formers who take on additional responsibilities within the school. This team works to inspire and engage the wider student body, encouraging everyone to contribute positively to our community. By leading initiatives, supporting their peers, and promoting collaboration across year groups, they act as catalysts for positive change, ensuring that every student feels empowered to play a part in building a supportive and forward-looking school environment.
