Cucina Catering
Cucina's aim is to provide all students with an exceptional catering experience
The Executive Chef and catering team serve exciting menus packed with healthy ingredients, that are full of variety, and with loads of interesting new things to try. All dishes are prepared every day using quality, fresh and seasonal ingredients that are responsibly sourced.
Lunch breaks are staggered and are 35 minutes, with Years 7-9 having their lunch at 12.20pm and Years 10-13 having their lunch at 1:20pm. Cooked meals and snacks are available from the school canteen and The Cube at lunchtime. Morning break at 11am is 20 minutes long, where snacks are also available to buy. Sixth Form students have their own Sixth Form Cafe based in the Attenborough Building, where they can purchase food from 8:30am to 2pm. There is also a new breakfast service between 8 and 8.30am in the canteen.
Students are expected to remain on site at lunchtime (except Sixth Form students). Drinks in glass bottles should not be brought to school for health & safety reasons.

Cucina Tariff
Free School Meals
Students eligible for free school meals automatically receive a £2.90 allowance on their student card each morning. This can be used at breaktime and/or lunchtime, with students using their card at the canteen as normal. The system is completely invisible, so students are not aware of who is receiving free school meals.
The £2.90 allowance will always be used first, and if a student spends more than this amount, any additional cost will be deducted from funds available in their personal account. Families can add money to their child’s account via ParentPay if they would like them to be able to spend more than the daily allowance.
At lunchtime, Meal Deals are available and provide the best value for money.

Natasha's Law
The Food Information Amendment, also known as Natasha’s Law, came into effect from 1 October 2021. It places a responsibility on all food businesses to provide a full list of ingredients and allergen labelling on all food pre-packed for direct sale. Please read the below document which advises families of Cucina's commitment to be fully compliant with this new law.
