Orleans Park is a mixed secondary Academy for students aged 11 - 18 (Years 7 to 13).

The planned admission number (PAN) for the Year 7 intake is 216 students.

The furthest distance we offered to on National Offer Day in March 2024 was 1.240km.

Admissions for young people with an EHCP is through consultation and placement via the Local Authority.


Admission to Year 7 for September 2025

Choosing a secondary school that your child will be happy and thrive in is a big decision.  This is a major milestone in your child's life and the decision is an important one. Our school has a long and proud history of delivering high quality education and a rich extra-curricular programme, designed to equip students for adult life and the wider world.

Admission to Orleans Park for Year 7 entry is wholly managed by the Richmond School Admissions at the London Borough of Richmond.

Admissions for young people with an EHCP is through consultation and placement via the Local Authority.

3 March 2025

National Offer Day

Online applicants will be sent an email during the evening informing them of the results of their application.

Letters are posted first class giving detailed results of application

17 March 2025 Date by which parents must accept or decline their offer.
28 March 2025 Further offers will be made from the waiting lists from this date onwards, subject to places becoming available
21 April 2025 Closing date for submission of appeals to be heard in the main round for schools in Richmond using the Richmond Independent Appeals Service

You will need to contact your home borough for guidance if you do not live in the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames.

In-year admissions and waiting lists for Years 7 to 11 are managed by the Richmond School Admissions.

Tours of the School

School tours for families of students starting Year 7 in September 2025 will only be available during the week of our Open Mornings, and we are unable to offer any additional tours throughout the school year.

For in-year admissions, tours will only be available once families have received an offer.

Oversubscription

In the event of oversubscription for either Year 7 September intake or In-Year Admissions the criteria to be applied can be found by following the links to the Determined Admission Arrangements document at the foot of this page.

Exceptional Family, Social or Medical Circumstances

If you have exceptional family, social or medical circumstances which means your child must attend Orleans Park and no other school can satisfy the evidenced needs, please tick the relevant box when you apply with Richmond Admissions or your local borough council.

Appeals Process

The Richmond Independent Appeals Service is responsible for the appeals for the Richmond schools, which includes Orleans Park.

If your child has been refused a place, you have the right to appeal the decision of the Admissions Authority. Your reasons for appealing will then be considered by an independent panel.
