Outstanding GCSE Results at Orleans Park School!

Our Year 11 were today rewarded for their hard work, commitment and determination with an exceptional set of GCSE results.

Students achieved outstanding results across the curriculum, with the school recording an exceptionally strong grade profile. An impressive 19% of all grades achieved were the highest Grade 9.

Almost four in every ten grades (39%) were Grades 9 or 8, while an outstanding 59% of all grades were Grades 9–7. In addition, 88% of all grades were Grade 5 or above and 93% were Grade 4 or above.

These results compare exceptionally strongly with the national picture. Among 16-year-olds in England this year, 23% of GCSE grades were awarded at Grades 7–9, compared with 59% at Orleans Park, while 70% nationally were awarded at Grade 4 or above, compared with 94% at Orleans Park.

Headteacher Ms Pacey commented:

I am incredibly proud of our students and everything they have achieved. Behind every grade is an individual story of hard work, perseverance and aspiration. Our students have embraced the high expectations we have for them, supported by an exceptional team of teachers and support staff who work tirelessly to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to succeed.

What makes me particularly proud is the strength of achievement across the school. We are an inclusive school with an unwavering belief that all students, regardless of their starting point or background, should be supported and challenged to achieve their very best.

I would like to thank our teaching staff, Heads of Department and Leadership Team for the expertise, care and enormous amount of work that has gone into securing these outcomes. I would also like to recognise the invaluable support of our families, who have worked alongside us throughout the students’ journey.

Most importantly, today belongs to our students. They should be immensely proud of what they have accomplished. These results open the door to exciting next steps, whether that is continuing into our Sixth Form, beginning further education or training, or moving on to employment.

Results such as these do not happen by accident. They reflect a school community with high expectations, excellent teaching and a shared determination to help young people thrive. It is a privilege to be Headteacher of Orleans Park School and to see our students achieve so highly. Congratulations to every one of them. We could not be prouder.

English and Maths results were once again exceptionally strong. 95% of students achieved Grade 4 or above in English, with 89% achieving Grade 5 or above. In Maths, 92% achieved Grade 4 or above, while 82% achieved Grade 5 or above.

Across the two core subjects, 91% of Orleans Park students achieved Grade 4 or above in both English and Maths, with an impressive 79% achieving the stronger Grade 5 threshold in both subjects.

A number of students achieved truly exceptional individual results. Particular congratulations go to Michelle, who achieved a remarkable 12 Grade 9s in this year’s GCSEs.

Outstanding results were also achieved by Osgar, Sara, Annabel, Daniel, Lily and Flora, all of whom achieved Grades 8 and 9 across all of their GCSE subjects. These are exceptional individual achievements and reflect the commitment, ambition and hard work these students have demonstrated throughout their time at Orleans Park.

The school’s progress analysis also shows exceptional progress across the curriculum, with an overall progress figure of +1.30. Progress was extremely strong across all curriculum areas, including +1.50 across EBacc subjects, +1.35 in Maths and +1.16 in English.

Orleans Park is particularly proud of the progress achieved by students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. SEND students achieved an exceptional overall progress figure of +1.65, including +1.54 in English, +1.71 in Maths and +1.79 across EBacc subjects.

Students receiving SEN Support made even stronger progress, with an overall figure of +1.91, including an exceptional +2.16 across EBacc subjects. Students with Education, Health and Care Plans also made very strong progress, achieving +1.23 overall.

The progress made by students across different starting points was equally impressive. Students in the middle prior-attainment group achieved a progress figure of +2.00, while those in the lower prior-attainment group achieved +2.06.

Particular congratulations must also go to Tugra, Lily, Will, Phyllis, Renee, Isla, Ben, Elif and Anna, who made some of the strongest individual progress in the year group, significantly exceeding expectations across their subjects. Their achievements demonstrate what can be accomplished through sustained effort, resilience and a determination to make the most of every opportunity.

These results reflect the tremendous commitment shown by Year 11 students throughout their time at Orleans Park, as well as the dedication of staff who have supported them through lessons, revision sessions, Progress Club, tutoring and a wide range of targeted interventions.

“We are incredibly proud of what our Year 11 students have achieved. These results reflect not only their ability, but the enormous amount of hard work and determination they have shown throughout the past two years.

What is particularly pleasing is the strength of the results across the whole year group. Students of all starting points have made exceptional progress and so many have exceeded what they might once have thought possible.

Our students have embraced the support available to them, whether through lessons, Progress Club, tutoring, revision sessions or simply by responding positively to the advice and encouragement of their teachers. They thoroughly deserve the results they have achieved today.

A huge congratulations to every one of our Year 11 students, and our thanks also go to the staff and families who have supported them along the way. We wish them every success as they take their next steps.”

A Level Exam Results 2026

It has been another successful A Level results day at Orleans Park as we celebrate the excellent achievements of our Sixth Form students; 64% A*/B grades and 35% A*/A grades were achieved across all subjects (exceeding the national trend of 28% at A*/A and 58% A*/B). Furthermore, 13% of all grades were at A* and 84% were A*-C (with the national figure being 78%).

We are incredibly proud of our Sixth Form students whose hard work has helped them to achieve such a fantastic set of results, which have enabled them to embark on their exciting next steps and continue the success of Orleans Park Sixth Form.

A significant proportion of students have gained places at top universities to study courses such as Ancient History, English Literature, Economics, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Film Studies and Politics to name a few. 

There were a number of outstanding individual successes among this year’s A Level results.

We are delighted that Lucy and Matilda have secured places at the University of Cambridge, where they will study Natural Sciences and Medieval & Modern Languages respectively.

We also congratulate our students who have secured places on highly competitive Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine degree courses.

These achievements reflect the exceptional hard work, commitment and ambition of our students, and we are incredibly proud of their success.
