Enrichment

Kirsty CooperMy name is Mrs Cooper and I delighted to have been appointed the Orleans Park Enrichment Coordinator. I will be overseeing all the wonderful activities and events that are put in place for our students to experience. We really value the importance of offering opportunities outside of the classroom that will have a positive and life changing impact.

I endeavour to ensure that we are offering our students the best access to a broad range of enrichment activities.  As this is a new the role to the school, I am working through many ideas and plans which students will soon start to see unfold as the academic year progresses, and I look forward to sharing these with you.

Students have already been busy attending Drama workshops, Geography trips, a KS4 Imperial College trip, talks with guest speakers, participating in DofE expeditions, Science projects, Maths challenges to name just a few.  We have students from the the Year 13 Student Leadership Team leading on a Staff Panto to raise money for their chosen charity, and the school musical rehearsals are already in full swing.

Our fantastic cross-phase partnership OP Connect is working hard to extend our connectivity of learning and opportunities beyond our school and into the community. This is something I would very much like to develop from an enrichment point of view.

At the moment, I would love to hear from anyone who has experience in, or is currently working within the creative industry. There is so much talent within our school community, and it would be great to collborate with you to enable our students to extend their learning and experiences.

One final note, if there is anything that you feel the school could look into or offer from an enrichment point of view, then please let me know.  I am always open to new ideas.
